UNIDEMI MEMBERS RECOGNIZED IN STANFORD/ELSEVIER’S TOP 2%SCIENTISTS RANKING

In a notable achievement for the Research and Development Unit in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (UNIDEMI), 6 of its members have been named in the prestigious Stanford's Top 2% Scientist Rankings, in collaboration with the publisher Elsevier, released on September 19, 2025.

The distinguished UNIDEMI members recognized in this global ranking are:

This recognition highlights the significant contributions these researchers have made to their respective
fields and underscores UNIDEMI’s position as a center of excellence in mechanical and industrial engineering research. It is worth noting that Professor Hugo C. Biscaia is also included in the list of “World’s Top 2% Scientists” for impact throughout his career.

The Stanford/Elsevier ranking is widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive and objective
assessments of researchers; impact worldwide, considering factors such as citations, h-index, and co-authorship.
