Computational engineering has become a cornerstone in the development of complex systems, playing a crucial role from design to maintenance. On June 27, the seminar “Model Validation and Its Applications in Structural Dynamics” will focus on the vital role of Verification and Validation (V&V) in structural dynamics.
The session will feature Professor Chaoping Zang (Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), alongside Professor and Researcher at UNIDEMI Tiago Silva and Professor Ning Li, who will discuss topics such as the concept of a “supermodel,” model simplification, verification and validation processes, and the tools used in dynamic model V&V.
Real-world case studies from the aerospace industry will also be presented, showcasing how V&V processes support product design, operation, and fault diagnosis in complex systems.
