The Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2025 has once again recognised NOVA University Lisbon in the field of Mechanical Engineering, placing it among the world’s top 400 higher education institutions in this discipline.
NOVA University Lisbon stood out for its performance in the Research Impact indicator, ranking first among the Portuguese universities assessed. This achievement reflects the consistency and quality of the University’s research activities, as well as the growing international visibility of its scientific output.
This distinction is the result of the continuous dedication of the faculty members, researchers of UNIDEMI, and doctoral students of DEMI, whose contributions have been instrumental in establishing the Department as a national and international reference in Mechanical Engineering.
