UNIDEMI Researcher Radu Godina Participates in the 2026 CBAM Industry Roundtable

Radu Godina's presentation, entitled "Industrial Symbiosis, Resource Efficiency, and Product-Level Data as Practical Response Pathways", will explore the role of industrial symbiosis, resource efficiency, circular manufacturing, and carbon footprint reduction as practical approaches to addressing the challenges posed by the CBAM.

UNIDEMI researcher Radu Godina will participate as an invited speaker at the CBAM Industry Roundtable 2026, an international event focused on the challenges and opportunities associated with the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the transition towards a more sustainable industry.

The roundtable will also feature the participation of internationally renowned guests, including Dr. Jarosław Pietras, former Director General of the Council of the European Union and former State Secretary for European Affairs and State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance of Poland, and Mitch Perks, Deputy Director of Trade Services at the British Chambers of Commerce, with responsibilities in the areas of customs strategy, compliance and access to global markets, among other personalities.

The online event will take place on 21 July 2026, from 08:30 to 10:30 (Lisbon time), bringing together experts, researchers, industry representatives, and policymakers to discuss strategies for adapting to new regulatory requirements and advancing industrial decarbonisation.
