Dr. Radu Godina joins the editorial board of prestigious Nature’sScientific Reports

Dr. Radu Godina will join the editorial board of Scientific Reports, an open access scientific publication belonging to the Nature portfolio.

Scientific Reports stands out as the fifth most cited scientific journal worldwide, with over 734,000 citations in 2023 and an impact factor of 3.8 (2-year) and 4.3 (5-year). The publication is supervised by a team of experienced in-house editors, led by Editor-in-Chief Dr. Rafal Marszalek. 

The journal’s societal impact is notable, with more than 3,600 policy documents, including reports from the World Bank, WHO, CDC, and GOV.UK that have cited Scientific Reports articles. Its articles have also been referenced in more than 14,900 patents. Various studies published in this journal have gained significant media visibility, with over 255,000 news mentions. In 2023, research published by Scientific Reports appeared in major international media outlets such as BBC, Asahi Shimbun, Al Jazeera, CNN, and the New York Times.

Dr. Godina will contribute to the sustainability panel.
