Researcher Susana Duarte carried out a short-term international mission at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (UNINA), Italy, between 3 and 8 May 2026, as part of a mobility grant awarded by UNIDEMI.

The visit took place at the Department of Chemical, Materials and Industrial Production Engineering, where the researcher worked in close collaboration with Professor Teresa Murino, strengthening academic and scientific ties between UNIDEMI and the UNINA.

The mobility’s main objective was to consolidate cooperation between both institutions and foster future scientific collaborations. During the stay, several working sessions were held with master’s students, promoting the development of joint scientific publications and collaborative research activities.

As part of the visit, Susana Duarte also delivered a seminar entitled “Sustainable and Intelligent Manufacturing Systems,” aimed at master’s and PhD students from the Industrial Engineering and Management programme.

One main outcome of the mission the establishment  of a bilateral Erasmus+ agreement, which will strengthen the mobility of researchers, as well as students, and faculty members, and encourage joint participation in research projects and international initiatives.
